1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the MTVF application (the “App”), developed by Beijing MoteArt Digital Technology Co., Ltd. By downloading, installing, browsing, or continuing to use MTVF in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree to any provision, please stop using the App.
2. License to Use
Subject to your acceptance of these Terms, Beijing MoteArt Digital Technology Co., Ltd. grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use MTVF on your HarmonyOS device for your own filmmaking, pre-production planning, educational, or personal appreciation purposes. This license is granted for lawful use only and does not authorize any commercial redistribution, sublicensing, or resale of the App itself.
3. Intellectual Property & Copyright
The MTVF application—including its interface, source code, visual design, embedded data and resources, and all associated documentation—is owned by Beijing MoteArt Digital Technology Co., Ltd., with all copyrights and other intellectual property rights reserved. Camera and lens brands, model names, trademarks, and product designs referenced in the App (including but not limited to ARRI, RED, Sony, Canon, Nikon, ZEISS, Cooke, Angénieux, and others) are the property of their respective manufacturers. MTVF and Beijing MoteArt Digital Technology Co., Ltd. are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any of these manufacturers; all such records are provided solely for specification reference and framing planning.
The App uses third-party open-source components, including FFmpeg under the GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1 or later (LGPL v2.1+). Those components remain governed by their respective licenses, and we do not claim ownership of them. See Third-Party Open-Source Component Notices for the component list, licenses, and corresponding third-party source and build materials.
4. Use Restrictions
You agree not to, and will not permit or assist any third party to:
- except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law or a third-party open-source license, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, internal structure, or embedded data of the App by any means;
- extract, copy, scrape, republish, redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publicly display any data, records, text, images, or other resources embedded in the App for use outside the App or for any commercial purpose;
- circumvent, disable, tamper with, or destroy any technical protection measures, access controls, or entitlement mechanisms within the App; or
- use the App in any unlawful manner or in violation of these Terms.
This section does not restrict rights granted to you under an applicable third-party open-source license, including replacement, relinking, and acts necessary to debug such modifications where expressly permitted by the LGPL. Those rights do not extend to MTVF proprietary application code, data, or resources.
Violation of this section may result in termination of your license and, where permitted by law, civil or criminal liability.
5. User Conduct & Compliance
You agree to use MTVF in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations of the country or region in which you are located, including but not limited to laws regarding intellectual property, privacy, consumer protection, and export control. You are solely responsible for any content you capture, create, or share using the App, and for obtaining all necessary rights and consents related to such content, including depiction rights of any identifiable persons or property.
6. MTVF PRO and In-App Purchases
MTVF PRO is a one-time, non-consumable digital product purchased through Huawei In-App Purchases. It is not an auto-renewing subscription. The applicable localized price is the price displayed in Huawei AppGallery or on the in-app purchase page when you make the purchase. Purchases, purchase restoration, refunds, entitlement verification, and the scope of MTVF PRO features are governed by the MTVF PRO Service Agreement and Huawei’s applicable rules.
7. Disclaimer
All camera and lens specifications, sensor dimensions, crop factors, field-of-view (FOV) values, focal-length conversions, framelines, and watermark metadata displayed in MTVF are calculated from embedded reference data and on-device measurements or calibration, and are provided for reference only. Due to variations across product versions, device models, calibration accuracy, and actual equipment batches, computed results may deviate from manufacturer-published specifications. Before any production-critical shoot, always rely on the official manufacturer specifications and your own on-site measurements. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beijing MoteArt Digital Technology Co., Ltd. is not liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from reliance on such reference information. The App depends on HarmonyOS, Huawei In-App Purchases, and other third-party services; liability for service interruptions, data loss, or errors caused by a third-party service shall be borne by the responsible party in accordance with applicable law.
8. Privacy and Personal Information
We process and protect your personal information in accordance with applicable law. Details about device permissions, on-device processing, HUAWEI ID and In-App Purchases, cloud entitlement verification, professional database downloads, storage locations, cross-border processing, and your rights are governed by the current MTVF Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
9. Protection of Minors
MTVF is not primarily intended for minors. If you are under 18, please read these Terms and use the App under the supervision and guidance of a parent or other guardian. A guardian should fully understand and agree to the applicable rules before purchasing MTVF PRO. If you are under 14, you must first obtain consent from your parent or other guardian and use the App under their supervision and guidance.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the App evolves or as laws and regulations change. Updated Terms will be published in the App or on this hosted agreement page. If a material change is made, we will provide notice in a reasonable manner as required by applicable law. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using and uninstall the App.
11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
The formation, validity, interpretation, performance, and dispute resolution of these Terms shall be governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China (for the purposes of these Terms, excluding the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Macao Special Administrative Region, and the Taiwan region). Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation; if negotiation fails, either party may submit the dispute to the competent court of the place where Beijing MoteArt Digital Technology Co., Ltd. is located.
